Iran says Washington received Tehran message
TEHRAN- The spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanaani, has stressed that the United States has received Iran’s message regarding the possible conclusion to the reginal crises.
Delivering speech in his weekly presser on Monday, Kanaani touched upon some points, saying that Tehran has no proxy groups in the region and is reluctant to confront any nation.
The spokesman disavowed recently-leveled claims by the Washington that Tehran has an active group of proxy forces, disrupting regional security and stability.
Slamming the U.S. for following its illegal goals in the region, Kanaani added that “we do not seek tension with any country. Iran has no proxy forces in the region.”
With a look at Tehran’s background over the last four months, it stands to reason that Tehran has gone to great lengths for laying the ground for the fortification of stability as well as hindering the spillover of the ongoing conflict.
Alluding to the rising number of protests in the region opposing the horrendous crimes of the Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip, he stressed that the U.S. poured the oil on fire by providing the regime all kinds of weaponry in a bid to embolden the Tel Aviv regime to press ahead with its onslaught on Gaza.
“The U.S. has received our message. We have given straightforward responses. The path to de-escalation of crisis and reduction of tensions is clear. The center of the crisis is definite. The U.S. is not part of the solution, but part of the crisis,” he added.
Kanaani also denounced Washington’s move in overturing all UN Security Council resolutions, calling for an end to the Israeli incursion into the Gaza Strip.
Regional peace hinges upon an end to the war crimes against Palestinians, he stated.
On Yemen
Referring to the meeting of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Kanaani said that Iran is committed to holding such meetings and talks on the latest developments in Yemen to restore the stability and security in the Arab country.
“Tehran has used all its means to pursue peace and stability in Yemen while calling for finding a political solution to the conflict,” he added.
Kanaani went on to note that Tehran has invariably reiterated that Yemeni conflict has no military solution.
Iran-Afghanistan water rights
Kanaani also stated that such an issue is on the agenda of talks with the Afghan delegation at different levels and is one of Iran’s constant demands.
He added that bilateral talks are underway with Afghanistan in this regard.
Iran-Iraq relations
Given the ties between Tehran and Baghdad, Kanaani said that both sides enjoy solid ties and nothing can impede the way of progress and development.
“We have also good trade and economic relations with the Iraqi Kurdistan region,” he added.
Kanaani also pointed out that both parties are truly optimistic that ties are on the winning streak.
Arash Gas Field
Given the Arash Gas Field and the recent allegations of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, Kanaani added that Iran has obviously expressed explicit stance in this regard.
What is raised could be followed up within the framework of the legal mechanism between the two countries, the spokesman noted.
He also urged nations to stop disseminating technical topics to the media as the move would be of no use in resolving the issue.
Sudanese FM visit to Iran
Kanaani said that Tehran and Khartoum had close ties in the past but its former movement cut ties over a false reason.
He also highlighted that the two countries are laying the ground for the reopening of their diplomatic missions, expressing hope that the trip can open a new chapter in mending severed ties.
Unfortunately, we are witnessing an internal conflict in Sudan, Kanaani said.
Kanaani stated that Tehran has embraced the policy of setting up stability and security in Sudan, while highlighting the end to the conflict and the intra-Sudanese talks.
South Africa complaint against Israel
Iran backs the lawsuit against the Israeli regime, urging other countries to take the same action, Kanaani said.
Claims of attacking Iran
The spokesman refuted claims of the U.S. national security advisor on the possibility of attacking Iran.
He went on to add that Tehran is not after escalating tension and crisis in the region.
Iran has repeatedly demonstrated its will and power to deter any threats to its sovereignty and territorial integrity and will not hesitate to utilize its capabilities for any devastating response.
